Our services are filled with a variety of music and prayers, including contemporary and traditional melodies, to satisfy the spiritual needs of our congregants. We believe that this diversity creates a beautiful worship experience in an environment inspiring full and spirited congregational participation.

Erev Shabbat Services

The First Friday of each month is Tot and Family Shabbat. Tot Shabbat, an interactive and fun service for families with young children begins at 6:15PM in the Taylor Learning Center. This service includes music, singing and storytelling. People of all ages are welcome. Family services begin at 6:15PM in the Gordon Chapel  This joyous musical service is led by our clergy and guitarists. We encourage our teens to participate in the Band! Please join us for a spirited and innovative Shabbat experience! A congregational dinner (reservations required) follows both of these services.
On the Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Fridays of each month our service begins at 6:15PM in the Peggy and Yale Gordon Chapel. The service, from the Mishkan T’filah siddur (prayerbook),includes a sermon by the Rabbi, as well as a mix of traditional and contemporary melodies and prayers. We follow Tot Shabbat on the First Friday of the month with a congregational dinner (reservations required).  This is an opportunity for families to socialize and relax while programming is provided for their children.  Shabbat Dinner Blaustein
“Visual T’filah” is an exciting musical Shabbat experience with our own band and service without a prayerbook. This Visual T’filah “service in song” is a blend of contemporary melodies composed by some of the leading Jewish composers of our time presented in a unique and modern manner combining our liturgy with art and other visual imagery. Join us and enjoy this Shabbat innovation!    Rock Shabbat
Shabbat-in-the-Round is a joyous and meditative service sure to uplift you! A wonderful way to end your week and welcome a soulful Shabbat. Complimentary childcare, pizza, and a movie will be provided for children during the service. Immediately following the service, join us for some nosh.  


Shabbat Morning

Our 10:00AM Shabbat morning service often includes a Bar or Bat Mitzvah celebration and other life-cycle simchot. The service is led by one or both of our Rabbis and our Cantorial Soloist and includes the reading of Torah and Haftarah.


Daily Minyanim

Temple Oheb Shalom is the only Reform synagogue in Baltimore to hold a daily minyan. Our morning minyan every Monday-Friday at 7:30AM and on Sunday mornings at 8:45AM (except on Sundays when the building is closed for summer or Religious School breaks) is followed by a light breakfast.
