The Yamim Noraim, High Holy Days, are a time of personal reflection; gazing at the year past and at the year that is yet to be. As we stand again on the threshold of the New Year, we at Temple Oheb Shalom are working diligently to provide our members and guests with meaningful worship experiences. These pages provide resources and information about High Holy Day observance at Temple Oheb Shalom. Tickets are required for all adults to gain access inside the building and are non-transferable. Tickets will be mailed to all adult members in good standing during the first week in September.
The deadline for all Supplemental Ticket Requests is Friday, September 1. Supplemental tickets can be requested using our Supplemental Ticket Request Form.
Traveling during the High Holy Days? If you are a member of Temple Oheb Shalom and would like a letter of reciprocity sent to another synagogue, please complete the URJ Reciprocity Request Form. If you are a member of a URJ congregation and wish to join us for High Holy Day services, please ask your home congregation to send our reciprocity request to email@example.com or fax to 410-358-3313.
Member children in Grades 1 through 5 are invited to participate in our special age-appropriate services and themed activities. These programs run concurrent with morning services on both Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur so that parents may attend the adult services in either the Blaustein Auditorium or the Greenebaum Sanctuary. Registration is required and can be submitted using our Youth Services Registration Form. Questions about this service should be directed to Meredith Zuckerman at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Temple Oheb Shalom will employ babysitters on both Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur mornings from 9:00 AM until 12:30 PM. To ensure the proper level of staffing, registration and pre-payment is required by September 1 using the Childcare Registration Form.
EREV ROSH HASHANAH DINNER:
Our annual Rosh HaShanah dinner will take place between the Rock Rosh HaShanah service and the Erev Rosh HaShanah service. This dinner is available to members and guests who have tickets to services. Registration and pre-payment are required using the Rosh HaShanah Dinner Reservation Form by Wednesday, September 13.
Join us for a Break-the-Fast Nosh immediately following the N’ilah Service. There is no charge for the nosh, but we would greatly appreciate your RSVP so that we can plan appropriately. RSVP using our Break-the-Fast registration form.
